TBE Buffer (Tris-Borate-EDTA) 5× Solution is a concentrated buffered solution supplied as a clear liquid for laboratory research use. When diluted to single strength (1×), the buffer contains Tris base (0.089 M), borate (0.089 M), and EDTA (0.002 M). The product is provided at biotechnology grade with a pH range of 8.2–8.4 when prepared as a 20% solution in water.
