About Us

Biofargo Inc., headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, is a leading national distributor of lab supplies and equipment. In 2021, we were founded by Dr. Xinzhi (Cindy) Wang with a mission to drive science forward through delivering exceptional value. Dr. Wang is a published author, a former postdoctoral researcher at Virginia Commonwealth University, and a fellow for the Center's for Disease Control and Prevention.

With firsthand experience as a scientist, Dr. Wang recognized the significant challenges researchers face in acquiring lab supplies—whether due to high costs, limited availability, or inconsistent quality. As an entrepreneur, Dr. Wang worked to solve these challenges by creating Biofargo, a people-focused lab distributor, to offer high-quality laboratory products at competitive prices.

Since our inception, Biofargo has continued to grow year-over-year, and in 2024 we marked our highest-ever growth, and welcomed over 200+ new clients to the Biofargo community.

How We Operate

At Biofargo, we cut out corporate fees to deliver top products from leading manufacturers at very competitive prices. Making science more accessible is at the heart of our business, and here's how we do it:

1. 1) We source products from 50+ vendors to provide you with the best products at a competitive price.

2. 2) We stock most products locally in Richmond, VA and work with our fulfillment partners to quickly fill customer orders.

3. 3) We don't compromise on quality, ever. All of our vendors are in strict compliance with relevant US, CA, and EU regulations. We regularly meet with vendors to ensure they meet or exceed our quality exceptions.

4. 4) We're a community-focused small, woman-owned, & minority (SWaM) business based in Richmond, VA.

5. 5) We run a slimmed down and efficient office, delivering exceptional customer service within 24 hours.

• 5) We predominantly work with FedEx Ground, supporting their sustainability efforts to be carbon neutral by 2024.

• 6) We package products primarily using recycled cardboard and as few boxes as possible.
