Description
Strep Tag II is a small tag with 8 amino acids (WSHPQFEK), which is only about 1.06 kDa due to its small size and does not affect the structure and function of the fused protein. These mild purification parameters can maintain the biological activity of the protein and yield over 99% purity through only one step of extraction. Among numerous affinity tags, although Strep-tag II appeared later than Flag, c-Myc, and His tags, it has been widely used due to its high affinity, high single-step purification purity (better than His tags), mild purification conditions, and fusion of both ends of the protein.
