Description
SBS freezer racks are built for the 86 × 128 mm SBS footprint used by 2D barcoded tube racks, SBS cryoboxes and microplates. These stainless steel racks keep SBS-format boxes in fixed positions inside –80°C ultra-low temperature freezers, which supports barcode-based tracking and automated or semi-automated sample management. They are compatible with the full range of Haier Biomedical ultra-low temperature freezers.
Models are available for SBS boxes 50.8 mm and 38.5 mm high. The handle is designed to resist freezing to the rack, so racks can be lifted out easily at –80°C.
Racks are offered in two grades of stainless steel. SUS304 contains about 8% nickel and resists corrosion through repeated frost and defrost cycles, making it the recommended choice for long-term biobank storage. SUS201 is an economical option for general laboratory use. All seams are joined by pulsed capacitor discharge resistance welding for strong, clean, smooth welds.
