The StarLighter ssDNA Assay Kit offers an easy fluorescence-based solution for single-stranded DNA quantification across a total assay range of 1–200 ng.
Depending on the sample volume, this ssDNA quantification kit accurately detects initial ssDNA concentrations from 50 pg/µL to 200 ng/µL. It can be used to measure oligonucleotides or long ssDNA and is compatible with both a Qubit fluorometer and fluorescence microplate readers.
Common contaminants, including salts, free nucleotides, solvents, detergents, and proteins, are well tolerated by the assay. Nucleotides and short oligonucleotides of six bases or fewer do not interfere with quantification. The StarLighter ssDNA reagent also exhibits fluorescence enhancement when bound to double-stranded DNA and RNA, which should be considered when evaluating samples containing these nucleic acids.
