Description

Laboratories processing multiple DNA, RNA, microRNA, or protein samples may need to repeat individual measurements when using a single-sample instrument. The StarLighter Fluorometer S96 FS-M2005 provides a 96-well fluorescence measurement format for quantitative analysis of up to 96 sample positions. This high-throughput nucleic acid quantification fluorometer requires only 1–20 µL of sample and completes a whole-plate measurement in 55 seconds.

The FS-M2005 operates as a two-channel, top-reading fluorescence microplate reader. It uses LED excitation and an SiPMT detector to measure dsDNA, ssDNA, RNA, microRNA, and protein assays. Blue excitation is provided at 457–483 nm with green emission detection at 520–540 nm, while red excitation is provided at 622–638 nm with red emission detection at 672–712 nm.

The instrument uses a 0.3 mL 96-well flat-bottom black ELISA plate measuring 128 × 86 × 15 mm. Sample volume can be set between 1 and 20 µL, and the combined sample and working-solution volume must be 200 µL per well. Experiment protocols, well positions, standards, blanks, sample information, and measurement results are managed through the supplied PC software. Results can be saved and exported in Excel format.
