Description

Recombinant Human Holo-Transferrin (HOLO) is an iron-saturated form of transferrin, a key glycoprotein responsible for iron transport and delivery in biological systems. Unlike apo-transferrin, holo-transferrin is fully loaded with iron, enabling efficient cellular iron uptake via transferrin receptor-mediated endocytosis. It plays a critical role in supporting cell proliferation, metabolism, and viability, especially in serum-free and chemically defined culture systems.

This recombinant protein is expressed in CHO cells and corresponds to the full-length human transferrin sequence (Val20–Pro698), ensuring proper folding and biological functionality. With high purity (≥95%) and low endotoxin levels (≤0.5 EU/mg), this product provides consistent performance in sensitive cell culture applications. Supplied in a tag-free, lyophilized form, it is ideal for large-scale cell culture, bioprocessing, and research use.
