Description
Activin A is a dimeric glycoprotein belonging to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily, composed of two inhibin β subunits. It can be expressed by various cells in the body, such as endothelial cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells. As a pleiotropic factor, Activin A is widely expressed in tissues and participates in regulating the functions of multiple biological systems, including embryogenesis, cell growth and differentiation, as well as immune and inflammatory responses.
