Description
CD3 monoclonal antibody targets T cells (all T cells express CD3 on their surface, which forms a complex with TCR). CD3 antibodies can be used for T cell activation: by mimicking TCR signaling, they directly activate T cells (without the need for antigen presentation). They are also employed for T cell expansion—in in vitro cultures such as CAR-T cell preparation, CD3 antibodies combined with IL-2 can significantly amplify T cell numbers.
