Description

GLASS Gels (Hepes-Tris) are high-performance precast polyacrylamide gels designed to provide superior protein band resolution and consistent electrophoresis results. Manufactured using automated gel-casting technology, these gels ensure excellent stability and repeatability. The glass plate structure minimizes non-specific protein adsorption, resulting in sharper and clearer bands.

Electrophoresis can be completed within 40–50 minutes under 150 V. The gel cassette can be easily opened with a Gel Knife by gently pushing along each side. With no SDS included, these gels are compatible with both denaturing and native electrophoresis. They fit most mainstream mini electrophoresis tanks, including those from Bio-Rad, Tanon, and Junyi Dongfang.

GLASS Gels (Hepes-Tris) are available in a wide range of acrylamide concentrations, including gradient gels (6%, 8%, 10%, 12%, 15%, 4–15%, and 4–20%), with customization available upon request.

Note: When using samples prepared with fluorescent loading buffer Quick Bands, protein bands can be directly visualized under UV or LED light without gel stripping, staining, or destaining.

Features

  • Precast polyacrylamide gels offering high performance and improved protein band resolution.

  • Automated casting process ensures excellent batch-to-batch stability and repeatability.

  • Glass plate reduces non-specific protein adsorption, producing sharper and clearer protein bands.

  • Fast electrophoresis performance: run time of 40–50 minutes at 150 V.

  • Easy-to-open cassette design using a Gel Knife for convenient gel handling.

  • SDS-free formulation suitable for both denaturing and native electrophoresis workflows.

  • Compatible with major mini electrophoresis tank brands such as Bio-Rad, Tanon, and Junyi Dongfang.

  • Available in multiple fixed and gradient acrylamide concentrations, with customization options.

  • Supports direct visualization under UV or LED light when used with Quick Bands fluorescent loading buffer.

Applications

  • SDS-PAGE and native PAGE protein separation.

  • Western blotting (WB) and downstream protein detection experiments.

  • Rapid electrophoresis workflows requiring consistent and high-resolution band separation.

  • Fluorescent protein analysis when paired with Quick Bands fluorescent loading buffer.

  • Suitable for the separation and analysis of high–molecular-weight proteins and membrane protein complexes, which benefit from the gel’s stable structure and reduced non-specific adsorption.

Storage

Stored at 4℃ for 18 months; do not freeze.
