Product Description
The SHENTEK® MVM Analysis Kit is a real-time PCR based qualitative assay serving as an analytical quality control reagent engineered exclusively for the molecular evaluation of MVM target sequences (covering strains i, p, m, and c) in industrial cell lines and related bioprocessing matrices (examples: CHO, BHK, NS0). Optimized for compatibility with the SHENTEK® Nucleic Acid Extraction Kit (Product No. 1506730), the assay includes an MVM-specific primer/probe mix, an internal process control (IPC), and a positive control to monitor nucleic acid recovery and amplification. Combined with SHENTEK extraction, the kit enables the efficient recovery and highly sensitive analysis of target DNA from complex matrices such as cell suspensions and in vitro cell culture supplements. The assay demonstrates high specificity, with no cross-amplification observed against tested cell lines and non-target genomes, achieving a limit of testing (LoD) of 50 copies per reaction. The kit is supplied for 50 reactions.

Attention
• For Research Use Only — consult compliance statement.
• Read Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and follow handling instructions.
• Wear appropriate PPE (protective eyewear, mask, clothing and gloves).
• Handle positive control and extraction in a biological safety cabinet and follow BSL-2 laboratory safety guidelines.
• Use nuclease-free consumables and certified reagents.
• Thaw kit components at 2–8 °C or on ice; vortex and briefly centrifuge before use.
• Avoid cross-contamination: use separate areas and aerosol-resistant tips for reagent preparation, sample handling, and amplification.
• If VIC internal control Ct of sample is >2 cycles different from NCS VIC Ct, suspect PCR inhibition; retest or treat sample to remove inhibitors.
• Check expiration dates on component labels and store components under appropriate conditions (see labels).
