| Summary | Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is a commonly used fusion label in the design and expression of genetically engineered recombinant proteins. After fusion with GST, the recombinant protein not only improves stability and solubility, but also brings great convenience for downstream separation and purification. GST has a molecular weight of approximately 26 kDa and a strong affinity for reduced glutathione (GSH). Therefore, immobilized GSH can be used to achieve one-step affinity purification of GST fusion proteins. |
| Features | 1. With good specificity and high affinity with GST fusion protein, the target protein with a purity of over 95% can be obtained through one-step affinity purification from bacterial fragmentation solution; 2. The GST fusion protein bound to the medium can be competitively eluted by high concentrations of reduced glutathione (GSH) (33 mM) in solution. For different GST fusion proteins, there is no need to explore the optimal GSH elution concentration, making the use of the medium simpler; 3. Renewable and reusable. |
