Product Description

The SHENTEK® BAV-3 Analysis Kit is a real-time PCR based qualitative assay serving as an analytical quality control reagent engineered exclusively for the molecular evaluation of bioprocessing inputs, such as in vitro cell culture supplements and cell banks. Optimized for compatibility with the SHENTEK® Nucleic Acid Extraction Kit (Product No. 1506730), this assay ensures the efficient recovery and analysis of target nucleic acids from complex industrial matrices.

Features

  • High sensitivity: Assay sensitivity down to 50 copies per reaction.
  • High specificity: No cross-amplification with tested bovine/porcine genomes, common cell lines (CHO, Vero, 293T, MDCK, NS0, Sf9) or engineering bacteria (E. coli, Pichia pastoris).
  • Integrated internal control: Includes IPC MIX to monitor extraction and PCR inhibition (VIC channel).
  • Optimized for complex matrices: Validated for detection of BAV-3 DNA from cell culture and bovine serum when used with SHENTEK® Virus DNA & RNA Extraction Kit.
  • Platform flexibility: Compatible with multiple real-time PCR instruments (SHENTEK-96S, LightCycler 480 II, ABI 7500, CFX96, etc.).

Applications

  • Qualitative molecular analysis of BAV-3 target sequences in industrial cell banks
  • Analytical quality control of biological seed lots
  • Molecular evaluation of in vitro cell culture supplements for BAV-3 nucleic acids

Attention

• For Research Use Only (RUO). Not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.

• Read Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and follow handling instructions; wear PPE (protective eyewear, mask, clothing, gloves).

• Handle positive control and extraction steps in a biosafety cabinet; follow BSL-2 laboratory safety guidelines.

• Use nuclease-free consumables; avoid cross-contamination between samples, controls and reagents.

• Thaw kit components completely at 2–8 °C or on ice before use; vortex and briefly centrifuge.

• Protect primer & probe mix from light.

• If VIC (IPC) indicates inhibition, repeat sample preparation or remove inhibitors and repeat assay.

• Follow instrument-specific setup and thresholding as described in the manual; validate control acceptance criteria during method validation.
