Description
Gentamicin is an antibiotic used to prevent or eliminate bacterial contamination in cell and tissue culture. Its spectrum includes Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Gentamicin sulfate binds to the 30S subunit of bacterial ribosomes disrupting bacterial protein synthesis.
Gentamicin sulfate is available in 10mg/ml and 50mg/ml solutions.
