Description
Cryo boxes fail two ways: they crack in LN2 vapor, and their barcodes flake off after a year of freeze-thaw. This one does neither.
The Biofargo 100-Well Open-Bottom Barcoded Cryobox is molded from a polycarbonate cap and a PC/ABS composite base — engineered to survive repeated −196 °C cycling without brittleness. The 10 × 10 SBS holds standard 2 mL cryo tubes plus extended-length and large-diameter formats, while the open bottom lets liquid nitrogen circulate directly through each well for fast cooling and stable temperature recovery. Each box carries a laser-etched alphanumeric code and 2D barcode — permanent identification that survives LN2 immersion and autoclaving, no adhesive labels to peel off.
Compatible with standard 2 mL cryogenic tubes (including extended-length and large-diameter formats).
Compatibility Guide
Compatibility has been evaluated at two levels: cryovial-to-box fit and cryobox-to-rack/freezer fit.
1. Cryovial-to-Box Compatibility
The following cryovial brands, volumes, and thread types have been fit-tested with this 100-well cryogenic box.

Important — Corning External-Thread Vials: Corning external-thread cryovials fit too tightly in this 100-well box and may prevent the lid from closing properly. An incompletely closed box may also fail to fit into the storage rack slot. Corning external-thread cryovials are therefore not recommended for this box.
Compatibility is based on fit testing with the vial types listed above. Because dimensions may vary by catalog number or product generation, please confirm your specific cryovial dimensions before ordering.
2. Cryobox-to-Rack Compatibility
