Description
The dTrite-Pro is a motorized electronic bottle-top burette that replaces the glass burette for routine volumetric titration. It mounts directly on the reagent bottle, and aspiration, dispensing and volume readout are all electronically controlled from a 4.3-inch color touch screen or a remote control handle. Available with a 10 mL, 25 mL or 50 mL cylinder and dispensing down to 10 µL (10 mL model) or 20 µL (25 and 50 mL models), it delivers ISO 8655 accuracy with a systematic error of ±0.2% and a CV of 0.05–0.07% at nominal volume.
With 1,000-record memory, Bluetooth and WiFi, built-in result calculation and free PC software, the dTrite-Pro turns manual titration into a documented, repeatable workflow for QC and testing laboratories, without the cost of a full automatic titration system.
Why Choose the dTrite-Pro
Precision and repeatability — electronic dosing reduces operator-dependent variation, so repeated titrations stay consistent from analyst to analyst.
Easier, more standardized operation — less reliance on manual burette technique; the workflow is easy to learn and to standardize across operators.
Digital records and traceability — results are saved on the instrument with a timestamp, ready for review, printing and documentation.
Smart connectivity — Bluetooth, WiFi and free PC software connect titration work to your laboratory data workflow.
Cost-effective upgrade — a practical step up from glass burettes without moving to a large, high-cost automatic titrator.

Features
- Motorized piston drive — aspiration and dispensing are electronically controlled, so results do not depend on meniscus reading or hand technique.
- Three cylinder sizes — 10, 25 or 50 mL per aspiration; dispensing down to 10 µL (10 mL model) or 20 µL (25 and 50 mL models).
- Fast titration with automatic slow-down — in preset-volume mode the dTrite-Pro dispenses quickly, then switches to slow micro-titration about 1.5 mL before the target.
- Automatic refill — if a preset volume exceeds what is left in the cylinder, the instrument refills and completes the dispense on its own.
- Drop-by-drop micro-titration — tap for single drops near the end point, or hold to speed up.
- Touch screen or remote handle — operate from the 4.3-inch color touch screen, or assign functions to the two buttons of the remote control handle.
- Built-in calculation and records — save each titration with a timestamp, then calculate results from preset or custom formulas; print with the optional Bluetooth printer.
- Clear and brown windows included — the brown window protects light-sensitive titrants such as iodine, potassium permanganate and silver nitrate.
- Drying tube included — for moisture- and CO2-sensitive titrants (absorbent not included).
- 0–90° return valve — purges air and returns reagent to the bottle without waste.
- Long-distance burette included — extends the dispensing tip up to 1 m from the bottle.
- On-site calibration — gravimetric local calibration from the menu, in line with ISO 8655-6.
- Expandable — ports for a pH meter, color sensor and magnetic stirrer.
Applications
The dTrite-Pro handles all four classes of volumetric titration:
- Acid-base titration — titratable acidity, acid value, alkalinity.
- Redox titration — permanganate, dichromate, cerium(IV) and iodometric methods, including peroxide value and iodine value.
- Precipitation titration — argentometric chloride determination with silver nitrate.
- Complexometric titration — EDTA titration for water hardness, calcium and magnesium.
Typical users include food and beverage QC, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing, food and drug safety testing, petrochemicals, environmental and water testing, metal finishing and plating, surfactant production, and third-party testing laboratories.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Common questions about the dTrite-Pro Electronic Titrator.
Which cylinder size should I choose: 10, 25 or 50 mL?
Choose the size closest to the titrant volume you typically use per titration. Accuracy is best near nominal volume (±0.2%) and drops at 10% of nominal volume (±2.0%).
- 10 mL — titrations that use up to about 10 mL of titrant, or when you need the finest resolution (10 µL minimum dispense).
- 25 mL — the general-purpose choice for most routine titrations using a few milliliters up to 25 mL.
- 50 mL — titrations that consume larger titrant volumes, with the lowest CV (0.05% at 50 mL) and fewer refills.
All three sizes use the same controller, software and accessories, and all can refill automatically in preset-volume mode for runs larger than one piston stroke.
What is the difference between the dTrite-Pro and the dTrite digital burette?
The dTrite is a single 10 mL digital burette with a wired remote. The dTrite-Pro offers 10, 25 and 50 mL cylinder options and adds a color touch screen, Bluetooth and WiFi, 1,000-record memory, built-in calculation, and clear and brown observation windows.
Do I need an electronic burette, a glass burette or a bottle-top dispenser?
Choose a glass burette for occasional titration on a limited budget, and a manual bottle-top dispenser if you only add fixed reagent volumes without titrating. Choose an electronic bottle-top burette such as the dTrite-Pro if you titrate frequently and want more standardized electronic dispensing and digital volume readings.
Can I run a titration larger than one piston stroke?
Yes. In preset-volume mode, the dTrite-Pro can automatically refill and continue dispensing. The cumulative dispensing range is up to 100 mL for all three models.
Which reagent bottles does it fit?
Five bottle adapters are included: GL25, GL28, GL32, GL38 and S40. These adapters fit many commonly used laboratory reagent bottles.
Which titrants can I use?
The dTrite-Pro is compatible with many common titrants up to 1 mol/L, including hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, EDTA, sodium thiosulfate, potassium permanganate, iodine and silver nitrate. Wetted materials are borosilicate glass, FEP and PTFE. Do not use hydrofluoric acid, suspensions, concentrated acids or alkalis, or non-polar organic solvents such as toluene and benzene.
How are titration end points detected?
The titration end point can be determined using a visual indicator. An optional pH meter or color sensor can also be connected for instrument-assisted end-point detection.
Can the dTrite-Pro calculate results?
Yes. Saved titration data can be calculated on the instrument using preset formulas such as CA·VA = CB·VB or custom formulas created by the user.
How are results recorded and exported?
The dTrite-Pro can store up to 1,000 titration records with timestamps. Results can be printed using the optional Bluetooth thermal printer and managed using the PC software through Bluetooth, WiFi or USB connectivity.
How is the dTrite-Pro calibrated?
Each unit is factory-calibrated according to ISO 8655-6. A gravimetric local calibration can also be performed through the Calibration menu. Contact Biofargo for information about full recalibration using the dedicated calibration software.
Can the dTrite-Pro be autoclaved?
No. The dTrite-Pro is not autoclavable. Clean the cylinder by aspirating and dispensing water at least five times, and wipe the instrument housing according to the cleaning instructions.
Is a magnetic stirrer included?
No. A magnetic stirrer is not included and is sold separately.
What is the warranty?
The dTrite-Pro includes a one-year warranty covering qualifying product quality issues. Normal wear and damage caused by use outside the instructions in the user manual are not covered.
