One 5mL flow tube can be used each time.
Description
Easily and efficiently perform magnetic cell separation procedures using compatible cell isolation reagents. The magnet generates a high-gradient magnetic field within the interior cavity, enabling the separation of cells labeled with magnetic particles without the need for columns. It is designed to hold a standard 12 × 75 mm (5 mL) polystyrene tube.
To select the appropriate magnet for your application, compare the available cell separation magnet options based on your research needs.

Directions for Use
This magnet is intended for use only with compatible cell separation kits. For more information, refer to the appropriate product information sheet or contact technical support.
NOTE: The size of the O-ring is designed for polystyrene tubes, as cell recovery is typically better with polystyrene than with polypropylene tubes. However, some users may prefer polypropylene tubes because monocytes may adhere to polystyrene. If polypropylene tubes are used, it is recommended to reduce the diameter of the opening by inserting a small piece of rubber between the O-ring and the housing.
CARE OF MAGNET: After completing a cell separation procedure, wipe the magnet clean with distilled water and then with alcohol to dry it. To disinfect the magnet, wipe it with 10% diluted household bleach and then wipe it again with a water-dampened cloth to help avoid corrosion of metal parts. Do not submerge the magnet in liquid.
