Synonym(s): TPP, phosphorous acid triphenyl ester, triphenoxyphosphine oxide, tris(phenoxy)phosphine oxide.
Description
Triphenyl phosphite, is a colorless liquid at ambient. It is widely used in many applications. Triphenyl phosphite is used as an anti-oxidant in plastics, including PVC, PU, PET, SYN and OTS types of plastic. Triphenyl phosphite is also recommended as an auxiliary anti-oxidant in lubricants and greases. In many cases, synergistic effects are achieved when using Triphenyl phosphite together with phenol and amine types of primary anti-oxidants. Triphenyl phosphite is also used in adhesive industry and as an intermediate to synthesize pesticides and flame retardants.
