Description

Ancylostoma braziliense Probe qPCR Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of its specific DNA in a real-time PCR test using hydrolysis probes. In the amplification process, Taq DNA polymerase amplifies the DNA sample via quantitative PCR using a primer-probe set that targets its specific DNA region. At each cycle of the PCR, the 5' nuclease activity of Taq DNA polymerase degrades the bound probes, releasing the quenched specific FAM signal. The increase in FAM fluorescence measures the target gene-specific DNA amplifications. At a point where the fluorescence signal is confidently detected over the background signal, a Ct value can be determined for the FAM signal. This Ct parameter can be used to evaluate relative target abundance among samples.

Key Features

One-tube qPCR format minimizes carry-over contamination risk

Application Areas

  • Veterinary parasitology & epidemiology: detection and quantification of Ancylostoma braziliense DNA in fecal, tissue or environmental samples from domestic and wild mammals (e.g., dogs, cats, wildlife) for prevalence surveys, surveillance and treatment‑efficacy research. (For Research Use Only — not for clinical diagnostic use.)
  • Environmental and public‑health surveillance: screening soil, sand, water, beaches and public spaces to monitor contamination and assess zoonotic exposure risk to humans and animals. (For Research Use Only — not for clinical diagnostic use.)
  • Parasitology and ecological research: laboratory and field studies such as life‑cycle investigations, host–parasite interaction studies, molecular ecology and population genetics using quantitative PCR assays. (For Research Use Only — not for clinical diagnostic use.)

Storage & Shipping

  • Store at - 20 °C

  • The product is shipped with dry ice to maintain low-temperature conditions and ensure product integrity during transit.

FAQ

Q: Are Biofargo PCR and qPCR Kits compatible with my thermal cycler or real-time PCR instrument?

A: Yes. Biofargo PCR Kits and probe-based qPCR Kits are designed for broad compatibility with mainstream instruments.

PCR Kits can be used with standard thermal cyclers from leading brands.

Probe-based qPCR Kits are fully compatible with major real-time PCR platforms, including ABI, Bio-Rad, Roche, QuantStudio, Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q (5-plex), and Genesig Q16.

Our technical team is available to assist with instrument setup and run optimization to ensure the best results.
