Description
Recombinant Human Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) is a pleiotropic cytokine that plays a crucial role in cell differentiation, proliferation, and survival. It belongs to the IL-6 cytokine family and signals through the LIF receptor (LIFR) and gp130 complex, activating downstream pathways such as JAK/STAT3. LIF is widely known for its essential role in maintaining the pluripotency of embryonic stem cells and regulating hematopoiesis and immune responses.
This recombinant protein is expressed in E. coli and corresponds to the mature region (Ser23–Phe202) of human LIF, retaining full biological activity. With high purity (≥95%) and strong bioactivity (ED50 <0.5 ng/mL, measured by inhibition of M1 cell proliferation), this product is suitable for stem cell culture, immunology, and cancer research. The protein is supplied in a tag-free, lyophilized form for convenient storage and reconstitution.
