Product Overview

Biofargo precast, pre-stained agarose gels with GelRed® DNA gel stain are designed for fast, convenient, and safer DNA electrophoresis. Each mini-gel is factory cast in TAE with GelRed® premixed—no pouring, no staining, no post-stain. Just load your samples and run.

What you get:

Every 10-gel pack includes free DNA loading buffer, your choice of DNA marker (ladder), and TAE instant granules (2 sticks, makes 2 L). Gels are available in 0.8–2.0% agarose (custom 0.75–2.5% on request) and multiple well counts to fit common mini gel chambers.

Usage Notes

  • Sensitivity: GelRed® provides up to 8× sensitivity vs EtBr. Use lower sample loads for sharper bands.
  • Routine checks: Load 50–100 ng DNA or 1–2 µL PCR product.
  • Loading more DNA: Run at lower voltage to reduce distortion. Ensure the gel is fully dissolved during extraction.
  • Avoid repeated freeze–thaw for loading buffer and markers.
