Dried Blood Spots (DBS)
Description
Euroimmun’s product portfolio, complemented by specialized instruments for punching dried blood cards, enables fully automated processing of serological tests based on dried blood spots (DBS).
Capillary blood collected from the fingertip is applied to barcoded blood collection cards, ensuring full sample traceability throughout the workflow. Different automation solutions are available for DBS punching and automated test processing, supporting laboratories of various sizes and throughput requirements.
DBS extracts can be analyzed with Euroimmun ELISAs using the EUROLabWorkstation ELISA or the EUROIMMUN Analyzers I or I-2P. LIS communication can take place directly through instrument software or centrally via the optional EUROLabOffice 4.0 middleware.
