Description

In biological experiments, it is an important pH stabilizing reagent. Usually, an appropriate weak acid is mixed with its conjugate base to obtain a suitable pH value. Most biological reactions occur under neutral conditions, and the pH is generally selected between 6-8, while the effective buffering range of the buffer is also required to be between 6-8. In addition, it is required that the acidic and basic forms of the buffer do not chelate with certain metal ions. It can also be used as a desulfurizer for water gas and semi-water gas in synthetic ammonia production, as well as a dye intermediate, pharmaceutical intermediate, diagnostic reagent, etc.

Features

  • High-purity biochemical-grade ADA (≥98.5%) supplied as a white, free-flowing powder.

  • Zwitterionic buffering agent with a pKa of approximately 6.6, providing stable pH control in the range of pH 6.0–7.2.

  • Excellent compatibility with biological and biochemical systems; minimal interference with metal-ion–dependent reactions due to low chelation tendency.

  • Highly soluble when neutralized, producing clear and colorless solutions suitable for sensitive assays.

  • Low impurity profile, including moisture ≤0.5%, heavy metals ≤3 ppm, and ignition residue ≤0.1%, ensuring consistent performance in analytical and research applications.

Applications

  • Biochemical and Molecular Biology Research: Ideal for preparing physiological buffers for enzyme assays, protein studies, nucleic acid workflows, and cell-based experiments requiring near-neutral pH.

  • Protein Crystallization & Isoelectric Focusing: Frequently used in crystallization buffers and in systems requiring stable and narrow pH ranges.

  • Analytical Chemistry: Suitable for metal-ion studies, titration systems, and analytical methods requiring low metal chelation.

  • Diagnostic Reagent & Chemical Synthesis: Serves as an intermediate in dye manufacturing, diagnostic formulation, and other chemical synthesis processes.

  • General Laboratory Buffer Preparation: Reliable pH stabilizer for routine laboratory solutions across biological, biochemical, and environmental testing workflows.
