Description

The Ready-to-use BCA Protein Assay Kit is a highly accurate, detergent-compatible protein assay for determining protein concentration. The Ready-to-use BCA Protein Assay Kit is based on the theory of BCA (Bicinchoninic Acid) to achieve rapid, stable, and sensitive determination of protein concentration. The principle is that the peptide chain can form a complex with Cu²⁺ in an alkaline environment, reducing Cu²⁺ to Cu⁺ in the process. The BCA reagents bind Cu⁺ specifically and sensitively to form a stable colored complex, which has a high absorbance at 562 nm. The color intensity is proportional to the protein concentration, based on absorbance. The BCA reagents provide precise protein concentration determination for most sample types, with less interference from factors like metal ions, reducing agents, chelating agents, and detergents commonly encountered in protein research.
