Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), also known as colony-stimulating factor 2 (CSF2), is a monomeric glycoprotein secreted by macrophages, T cells, mast cells, natural killer cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts that functions as a cytokine. GM-CSF also plays a role in embryonic development by functioning as an embryokine produced by reproductive tract.

Stability and Storage:

Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius for 1 year. Upon reconstitution, store at 2 degrees Celsius to 8 degrees Celsius for up to 1 week. Further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein or stabilizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA, 10%FBS, 5%HSA or 5% trehalose solution), protein aliquots should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius or -80 degrees Celsius for 3-6 months.
