Description

Rat tail vein injection can be difficult when the animal is not held securely, the tail vessels are insufficiently filled, or the path of the needle cannot be clearly observed. The BF-300 rat tail vein injection visualizer is designed to address these practical laboratory problems through rat restraint, vessel filling and illuminated observation.

A quick-loading restraining tube holds the rat firmly in a comfortable position and helps prevent forward movement during injection. The pressure mechanism moves blood from the vessels near the base of the tail toward the latter portion of the tail, helping the vessels become more visible for needle entry.

The illuminated rat restrainer uses a yellow LED light to highlight the tail vessels. A 5× magnifier supports visual observation so the operator can guide the needle while viewing the vessel instead of relying only on touch.

FAQ

What is the BF-300 rat tail vein injection visualizer used for?

The BF-300 is used to restrain a rat, promote filling of the tail vessels and illuminate the tail during laboratory tail vein injection procedures.

Is the BF-300 designed for rats or mice?

The BF-300 is specifically identified as a rat tail vein injection device. Compatibility with mice is not specified.

How does the BF-300 help make rat tail vessels visible?

Its pressure mechanism moves blood from vessels near the tail base toward the latter portion of the tail. A yellow LED illuminates the tail to make the vessels easier to observe.

Does the rat tail vein injection restrainer include magnification?

Yes. The BF-300 is equipped with a 5× magnifier for observing the illuminated tail and vessel position.

What is the basic operating sequence?

Connect the power, load and restrain the rat, visualize the vessel, and then perform needle entry and injection.

What are the power requirements for the BF-300?

The power adapter accepts AC 100–220 V at 50 Hz and provides a DC 12 V, 2 A output.
