Prior to shipping, cells at passage 1 are detached from flasks and cryopreserved in vials. Each vial contains 0.5x10\u003csup\u003e6\u003c\/sup\u003e cells per ml.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eProduct Testing\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRat Astrocytes from \u003ci\u003eCell Biologics\u003c\/i\u003e are tested for expression of GFAP antibody by Immunofluorescence Staining. Cells are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded for 3-5 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 under the cell culture conditions specified by \u003ci\u003eCell Biologics\u003c\/i\u003e.
