Performance Data

Primary Human Keratinocyte Expansion Performance

Biofargo Kerati. Basal Media & KGS was evaluated for human keratinocyte expansion performance using continuous passage culture. The evaluation was performed using T25 cell culture flasks with a seeding density of 20,000 cells/cm².

The culture results demonstrated that Biofargo Kerati medium supported consistent keratinocyte expansion from P2 recovery through later passages. Cells maintained proliferative ability during early and intermediate passages, with gradual reduction of expansion capacity observed after extended culture.

Passage	Culture Time	Harvested Cells (×10⁶)	Total Expansion Fold
P2 Recovery	48 h	2.14	4.28
P3	48 h	2.47	4.94
P4	48 h	2.01	4.01
P5	48 h	1.97	3.93
P6	48 h	1.82	3.65
P7	48 h	1.58	3.16
P8	48 h	1.22	2.44
P9	72 h	1.16	2.32
P10	72 h	0.93	1.86

Maintenance of Keratinocyte Morphology

Maintaining normal epithelial morphology is an important indicator during human keratinocyte culture. Biofargo Kerati. Basal Media & KGS supports the formation of tightly connected epithelial colonies with typical cobblestone-like morphology.

After extended culture, cells cultured in Biofargo Kerati medium maintained epithelial characteristics. At P10, some enlarged cells with senescence-associated morphology may appear as part of long-term culture progression.

Keratin 14 Expression Analysis

Keratin 14 is commonly used as a marker associated with basal keratinocyte identity. Biofargo Kerati cultured cells were evaluated by immunofluorescence staining, showing positive Keratin 14 expression at P10.
