Cells at passage 2-3 are harvested from flasks and cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains 0.5x10\u003csup\u003e6\u003c\/sup\u003e cells per ml and is delivered frozen. These cells are characterized by their spindle morphology and negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded for 3-5 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe green fluorescent protein (GFP) gives rise to very bright green fluorescence when exposed to blue light. Cell Biologics generates various GFP-expressing stable cells.
